All the way from sunny Stratford, Taranaki. 

Brother and sister duo are tackling the challenge in a racing red 1978 mini clubman 1100 as part of the convoy of other brave kiwis participating in the 2019 Pork Pie Charity Run. 

Rachel spontaneously bought the classic mini in 2017 just for a bit of fun. After a bit of discussion they decided to try their luck in securing a spot in this year's run after hearing about it from a family friend. 

"There's still a lot of prep work to go, as well as a lot of prep work already complete - just to make sure we can hit the finish line and make it back in one piece" - Rachel 

Collecting some donations is the next big step which has a lot of planning and ideas thrown about. 

"Overall, I think it will be a lot of fun. It makes it even better as the funds raised are all going to KidsCan which is such a good cause". 

“We’re taking this car to Invercargill!” 

As part of the 2019 Pork Pie Charity Run we’ll be driving a Mini over 2500km from Kaitaia to Invercargill over just six days. This epic journey will test our willpower, stamina, sense of humour and beloved vehicle to the limit. It’s all in the name of a good cause though – we are proud to be raising funds for KidsCan to help Kiwi kids in need reach their full potential.
